No, unfortunately not. Our video consultation service requires a clear visual of the affected area, in order for our Dermatology Specialist to carry out an informed assessment.
Yes. Unfortunately we are unable to prescribe Isotretinoin via photo upload or video consultation services due to the prescribing policy. This treatment is only available following an in-person consultation.
Yes. You are welcome to have a friend, family member or carer join the video consultation. If you require the appointment confirmation details and included video consultation link to be sent to an additional email address, please make this known at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Your video consultation will be held via a secure online platform so there is no need for you to access any additional software. You will require a strong internet connection and access to the email address provided upon making the appointment, where you received the secure link to join the video consultation.
If you have not received an email containing the details of your appointment and/or a link to join the video consultation, please make this known at the first possible instance, but at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
If you are unable to attend your video consultation, please make this known at the first possible instance, but at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to avoid forfeiting payment. Our team will be happy to reschedule your appointment where possible.
Unfortunately, if you are late or miss the appointment entirely, we are unable to extend your appointment time or refund any of your payment or reschedule your appointment; you would be required to make a new booking, where necessary.
Should any unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances prevent the clinician from attending your appointment, you will be notified at the first possible instance; we aim to ensure this is at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

No, unfortunately not. Our video consultations are scheduled to last approximately 20 minutes, however the entire allotted time is not always required for the Dermatology Specialist to make an accurate diagnosis and provide advice and treatment.
If the appointment time does extend beyond the allotted time, you will not be charged extra.
Yes, if appropriate consent has been acquired prior to the service, and provided the patient must be present for the entirety of the consultation. Patients under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for any and all services.

In the rare instance the Dermatology Specialist is unable to diagnose your condition from the video consultation alone, we would advise to upgrade the service to an in-person consultation.
If you are happy to proceed with an upgraded service, you will only be required to pay the difference in price.
Alternatively, the Dermatology Specialist can provide a referral, where applicable.
