MelaClear Pro – Hydroquinone / Tretinoin / Fluocinolone

MelaClear Pro is a specially-formulated topical treatment combining active ingredients Hydroquinone, Tretinoin, Fluocinolone in a hypoallergenic cream to treat melasma and hyperpigmentation by enhancing cell turnover, inhibiting the production of melanin and reducing discolouration. The compound may also provide additional side benefits, such as the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, the reduction of acne, and the reduction of the appearance of scars and inflammation.

Hydroquinone

A reversible depigmenting agent that temporarily bleaches an area when applied topically, by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for the production of melanin in melanocytes.

Tretinoin / all-trans-retinoic acid (ATRA)
A naturally occurring derivative of Vitamin A (or retinol) that aids in the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation. Administered topically to treat acne, photodamaged skin, and keratinisation disorders, including ichthyosis and keratosis follicularis, it reduces fine lines, hyperpigmentation, roughness, and laxity by increasing cell turnover.

Fluocinolone acetonide

A steroid hormone that possesses anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties, preventing irritation and soothes the skin when applied topically.

1. Patch Test: Before starting treatment, apply a small amount of the cream to a patch of healthy skin. After 24 hours, check for any adverse reactions. If the area becomes red, swollen, itchy, or blistered, discontinue use and contact RPM Health Clinic. If you experience only mild redness, you may proceed with the treatment.
2. Skin Preparation: Cleanse your face and neck with a mild, soap-free cleanser. Rinse thoroughly and pat your skin dry.
3. Application: Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected areas, extending about ½ inch (1.5 cm) beyond the discolored skin. Use the cream once daily, typically 30 minutes before bedtime. Gently rub the medication into the skin until fully absorbed. Do not bandage, cover, or wrap the treated area unless advised by your doctor.
4. Sun Protection: The treated skin may become more sensitive to sunlight. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning beds, and sunlamps. Always use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, and wear protective clothing when outdoors.
5. Moisturizing: If your skin becomes dry, apply a moisturizer in the morning after washing your face. You may continue using moisturizers and cosmetics throughout the day while on this treatment.
6. Avoid Contact with Eyes, Nose, and Mouth: If the cream accidentally gets into these areas, rinse thoroughly with water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists

For best results, use this medication consistently as prescribed by your doctor. To help you remember, apply the cream at the same time each night.
